How does chiropractic work?

A Chiropractor primarily focuses on the correction and maintenance of the column of bones, called vertebrae, that make up our spinal column. These bones offer protection of the spinal cord and support our bodies upright against gravity our entire lives. Chiropractors use specific adjustive techniques to restore proper function to the vertebrae so that we enjoy improved posture, stronger muscles, more efficient nervous systems and, therefore, less pain and suffering.

What conditions can chiropractors treat?

Studies show that when the spinal column is not working to its optimal level, neither is the central nervous system, and therefore many symptoms may arise. It is for this reason that chiropractic care may be able influence almost any health condition-by allowing the body to heal more efficiently on its own without the use of exogenous substances (chemicals made outside of the body), like prescription drugs, and without surgery. The majority of chiropractic patients typically begin care because of more common conditions such as neck pain, headaches or back pain that are often a result of poor alignment and function of the vertebra.  Once aligned, many patients then realize how good they can really feel with a healthy spine.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! Most insurance companies offer benefits for chiropractic care, but all companies are different. That is why we will always verify your benefits at no charge to you.

What types of claims do you accept?

Our treatment plans are very affordable even for the under or non-insured.

What types of therapy does your office offer?

We offer electric muscle Stimulation, mechanical massage beds, and exercise equipment to complement the spinal adjustments we provide. Do the adjustments hurt?

The adjustments a chiropractor deliver are not necessarily painful. Patients with a long history of spinal conditions and those who have a new conditions commonly feel obvious improvements in just a few visits. Some patients do report feeling a “work-out” type of soreness as their spines begin to improve, but this is often temporary in the beginning of treatment.
Unfortunately, as spinal conditions worsen over time, even the movement from breathing can be painful, and in these situations, our treatment may feel painful to some. Do not put off Treatment, hoping it will only go away in a day or a week, or a month later. Your treatment may be more uncomfortable and costly if you delay. Our treatment plans are similar to work-out programs, the healthier you are, the easier it is to do it, and vice versa.
